My lesson plan for speaking events Oratory and Impromptu engage learners of multiple intelligences and learning styles. View the annotated bibliographies below.

Eric Erikson's 13-19 (yrs of age) stage of psychosocial development is Identity vs Role Confusion.  Who am I? A question often asked by teenagers.  During this stage, teens often look to peers for support and guidance.  Should I be students' friend? No!  However, understanding this gives me insight to the value of my assertive but playful demeanor.

Although I have had conceptualizations about how to teach events such as Impromptu and Student Congress, I have always asked more experienced coaches for feedback.  At Kearns I work with other coaches to ensure that each speaking and debate event is given maximum attention.  Read the letter below to see how I have collaborated with other coaches in the Utah community.
