The assessment takes place at 30:55. I give groups of students emotions to act out using nonverbal communication. My opinion is that this was a simple non formal assessment.

Click on the pic below to view a formal assessment I created in a Westminster assessments course. The assessment incorporates components of nonverbal communication and oratory. This assessment also allows for students of multiple intelligence and learning styles to demonstrate learning.
Speeches will always be assessed based on students' previous knowledge and feedback. The goal of assessing in this way is to constantly push students towards maximizing potential, while providing realistic room for improvement. Students will be encouraged throughout the growing process to assess themselves and their peers. I will always encourage parents to inquire about their child's growth and ways in which we can work together to develop their child's public speaking skills.
